Elizabeth - Well done! Your research sounds very interesting and is certainly relevant. What is the status of Netherlands farmers re: the challenge of developing economically viable/efficient alternatives (i.e. how is the DAW plan working)? Is there a particular case study that shows how such an alternative has proven successful?
